Adjuncts

Corn Sugar- Also referred to as “dextrose”. Will help keep the body and flavor of your beer light and still contribute to alcohol content. Corn sugar can contribute a dry “cidery” flavors in high amounts(more than 20% total fermentables) which some use to their advantage. Most common use is for bottle or keg conditioning. For 5 gallons add 3/4 of a cup at bottling, or 1/3 of a cup when kegging. Corn sugar should be boiled in the wort or in water before adding to the finished beer.

Lactose- A non-fermentable sugar that add body, creaminess, and mouthfeel to your beer. Cream I.P.A.’s, milk stouts, or a beer just lacking in body. Can be added in the boil or at bottling time with your priming sugar.

Rice Sugar Solids- Increases original gravity without contributing much to the body.of your beer.
